OBJECTIVE:
Students will identify the many ways in which the people of ancient India made great contributions to the arts and sciences and evaluate the relevancy of those contributions. |
DUE (End of class):
Complete the first half of the "Indian Achievements" module lesson in HMH. |
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Log into HMH and open the lesson called Indian Achievements.
- For today’s work, you will only do the first two pages: Religious Art and Indian Literature.
- Make sure you read both pages from top to bottom, view the images, and answer the Reading Check question at the bottom of each page.
- STOP at the last page Scientific Advances. You will complete the rest of the lesson on your next Independent work day.
SS DECEMBER 2-3 INDEPENDENT
OBJECTIVE:

- Log into HMH and open the lesson called Indian Achievements (this is the lesson you started for your independent work earlier this week).
- For today’s work, you will only do the last page of the lesson: Scientific Advances.
- Make sure you read from the top to bottom, view the images, and answer the Reading Check question at the bottom of the page.
- NOTE: If you did not do your independent work during the Mon/Tue, then you will need to complete all three pages of the lesson today. The entire Indian Achievements module should be complete today.
SS FRIDAY DECEMBER 4 INDEPENDENT
OBJECTIVE:
Students will choose a topic for their unit assessment project, create a title page on their Google Slides project, and sign the last slide to confirm that they read the rubric for the project. |
DUE (By noon Friday):
Review what you will be doing for your Ancient India Final Project in Google class. You have a Google slides presentation. Choose your topic today. |
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Next week you will complete your Ancient India unit assessment, which will be a Google Slides presentation on a topic that you choose from the unit.
- Go to Google Classroom and open the assignment called "Ancient India Final Project".
- Read the LAST slide to see what topics you may choose from. You will choose just one topic and a Google Slides presentation to teach others about your topic.
- After you choose your topic, complete the Title page on your Google Slides.
- Lastly, read the rubric on the LAST slide and write your name at the bottom to show you understand the expectations. We’ll go over it together and you will be able to ask questions in class next week
