INSTRUCTIONS:
- Go to Google Classroom and open the assignment called Jewish Beliefs and Texts. This is the assignment we did on Monday.
- Now go to today’s agenda on my Weebly, and click on the Seesaw image. This will take you to your Seesaw assignment.
- Read/listen/watch the instructions on the assignment. I will show you an example.
- You will be finishing your narrative (story) that you started on Monday.
- If you finished this assignment, go to my Resource page. Explore any of the Geography, History, or Ted Talks links.
TUESDAY, MARCH 9

Students will use primary and secondary sources to explain the causes that led to great changes in Jewish culture and the differences in cultural traditions. |

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Go to HMH and open the lesson called Judaism over the Centuries.
- Introduce new vocabulary for this lesson at the top of the page.
- We will do a shared reading of primary and secondary sources; visual analysis of a Jewish community center and destruction of a temple; and map analysis of Jewish migration on the following pages: Revolt, Defeat, and Migration and Two Cultural Traditions.
- Exit ticket: Answer the ‘Cause and Effect’ and 'Reading Check' questions at the bottom of each page.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10
OBJECTIVE:
Students will use primary and secondary sources to explain the Jewish traditions and holy days that celebrate the history and religion of the Jews. |

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Go to HMH and open the lesson called Judaism over the Centuries and go to the third page called Traditions and Holy Days.
- Watch this video to learn about Jewish High Holidays and this video to learn about Shavuot.
While watching, think about and write in chat: (1) any traditions that have any similarities to any holidays you may celebrate OR (2) any facts from the video that you have learned in this unit on ancient Hebrews. - Shared reading and video analysis of Traditions and Holy Days.

Students will identify important events in Jewish history by reading a summary of Jewish history that has been presented in this unit, then create a timeline of chosen events in Seesaw. |

b.) Draw and label your timeline on a piece of paper. Draw at least 2 images that go with the events you added. If you choose this option, you must take and upload a picture of your timeline with your computer camera by clicking the camera button in Seesaw.
- Go to Seesaw and open Timeline of Jewish History.
- We will read a summary of Jewish history, which is attached in a ‘note’ in Seesaw.
- In Seesaw, you will create an illustrated timeline of Jewish history. Use the events provided in summary, as well as other events discussed throughout the module in your timeline. Make the timeline more interesting by providing illustrations for some of the events on the timeline. Your timeline must include at least 4 events.
- You have 2 options for how you will create your timeline:
