- Let’s play Guess the Artifact! (20 min)
- Go to Google Classroom and open the assignment called Early Hebrews Vocabulary
- We’ll review the vocabulary words together. Then, you will complete the two right columns on the doc (30 min)
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17
OBJECTIVE:
Students will use primary and secondary sources to explain how Abraham led the Hebrews to Canaan and to a new religion, and how Moses led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. |
DUE:
Start the Early Hebrews Module 7 Lesson 1 in HMH. |
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Go to HMH and open the lesson called The Early Hebrews Module 7 Lesson 1.
- While I take attendance, do the “If you were there…” page, then begin pre reading/looking ahead on the next page.
- Today, we will only focus on the first page of the lesson: Abraham and Moses Lead Their People
- Analyze the primary source: The Ten Commandments
- Map analysis
- Exit ticket: Identify Cause and Effect Reading Check (bottom)
- Do NOT click “I’m Done” on this lesson; we’ll finish it tomorrow in class
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18
OBJECTIVE:
Students use secondary sources to identify how strong kings united the Israelites to fight off invaders, then how invaders conquered and ruled the Israelites after their kingdom broke apart. They will record themselves reading aloud, then verbally respond to the reading check questions on Seesaw. |
DUE:
Complete The Early Hebrews Module 7 Lesson 1 in HMH. Turn in the recording of your reading on Seesaw. |
