Read and watch information about Hammurabi's Laws. Complete the Google document "Hammurabi's Laws & Modern Day Laws" to compare and contrast these past and present laws. |

3) Using information from the article the video, and/or the internet, think about the Code of Hammurabi and some of the laws it contained.
4) Then log into your SS Google Class. Go to Classwork and find: Hammurabi's Laws & Modern Day Laws. In this document, write down at least three of Hammurabi’s laws and three modern-day laws that you think are either similar or very different. Write one sentence for each time you note how Hammurabi's Laws are similar or different to your three modern-day laws.
EXAMPLE: In Hammurabi’s law, if a surgeon caused the death of a patient, then the surgeon would have his hand cut off. In contrast, today if a surgeon caused the death of a patient, then the surgeon might lose their licence to practice medicine or maybe go to jail. Today a surgeon would never be physically harmed if they made a fatal mistake.
