IMPORTANT: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR THESIS SENTENCE COMPLETE TO BEGIN YOUR BODY PARAGRAPH. YOU DO NOT NEED YOU INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH COMPLETE; HOWEVER, YOU WILL NEED YOUR INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH COMPLETE TO SUBMIT THE ENTIRE ESSAY EVENTUALLY. SO KEEP UP EVERY WEEK WITH EACH PART OF THE ESSAY.

- Go to Google Class. Open “Body/Claim 1 Outline”.
- Review the notes, examples, and parts of a body paragraph: topic sentence; supporting reasons; supporting text evidence, conclusion sentence.
- Review the form Citing Text Evidence in the file posted below the directions.
- Do research for your topic to find evidence to support your supporting reasons. You must have 2-3 supporting reasons and 2-3 text evidence in your outline.
- Fill in your “Body/Claim Paragraph 1 Outline”.
- Once your outline is approved, you can type in the full Body 1 Paragraph into No Red Ink.

DUE (End of class):
Body Paragraph 1 outline on Google class. Full Body Paragraph 1 type out completely in No Red Ink. |
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Review instructions on completing a Performance Tasks for a state test in preparation for next week’s practice. A) Remember to answer using words from the question, and follow the directions carefully. B) Outline what you will write to organize your thoughts. C) Capitalize where needed, Use command where necessary, and Quotation Marks where needed. D) Read over your full response out loud and make corrections. E) Check off that you followed and answered each part of the question and directions before finally submitting. (15 Min)
- Complete your Body/Claim Paragraph 1 Outline in Google class. (This was started in Monday-Tuesday’s Zoom lesson.)
- Research and cite evidence to complete your “Body /Claim Paragraph 1 Outline”.
- Once your “Body/Claim Paragraph 1 Outline” is complete and approved, you may type your Body Paragraph 1 of your Argumentative Essay in No Red Ink.
- Indent your paragraph in the Body Paragraph 1 box on No Red ink. Use complete sentences to type your first body paragraph of your Argumentative Essay.
