- We will review this document together. Ask questions as needed. The goal is for everyone to identify how to score well on Performance Task 1 questions, as well as the different types of Performance Task 2 questions that might be asked and understand how to write a proficient response.

- Go to CAASPP student login at this LINK.
- We will do some selected problems from:
- Write and Revise Narratives FAIB
- Evaluate Sources and Information FAIB
- These are types of questions you could see on the Reading portion of the state test.
- We will read through the questions and text sources together. DO NOT GO AHEAD UNLESS DIRECTED.
- Students will practice highlighting key words in the questions.
- We will review the key vocabulary words so students understand the difference between each type of written response question.
- We will construct written responses so you can see how much to write for each type of response.

Objective: Analyze written Performance Task Part 1 and 2 examples. Identify if a student answered proficiently by reviewing the work and comparing to your notes and checklist.

- We reviewed this yesterday. You will need this for today's assignment. Please ask any questions especially if you have any based on yesterday’s quiz.
- Now go to ELA Google Class and select the Google quiz: Performance Task Detectives.
- We will read the directions and do the first two questions together. You will then complete the rest on your own, but you may use your Performance Task Proficiency notes and ask me questions as needed.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- You will complete the Performance Task 2 Outline assignment (You are completing either A, B, or C as assigned to you yesterday. If you were not here, you need to go through yesterday’s agenda.)
- If you have time, you can practice developing this into a complete essay or story depending on your prompt. But you will only be graded on the outline due to limited time on this assignment this week.
- As needed, I will provide feedback and allow you to check your notes if you did not fully understand your task and how much to write. I will ask you to look at what parts you are still missing. If this happens though, the highest grade you can earn on this assignment is a 3.
