Due: Work on Performance Task 2 Outline (Google Class)
FOCUS QUESTIONS:
- Can I tell when Performance Task Part 2 directions ask me to write an argumentative essay, an informative essay, or a narrative story?
- Can I write a proficient outline based on my Performance Task prompt?
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Go to the following resource: Main Topic Sentence Examples
- I will ask: Can you tell what this essay would be about? Can you tell their main claims or focus points?
- Go to Writeable. Open either Performance Task Part 2 A, B, or C depending on what you were assigned. Use the directions and sources to complete your outline.
- Now go to ELA Google Class. Open the document: Performance Task 2 Outline.
- Work on your Performance Task 2 Outline as if you were going to write a complete essay or narrative. Treat this as if this were the state test.
- If you have time, you can practice developing this into a complete essay or story depending on your prompt. But you will only be graded on the outline due to limited time on this assignment this week.
- As needed, I will provide feedback and allow you to check your notes if you did not fully understand your task and how much to write. I will ask you to look at what parts you are still missing. If this happens though, the highest grade you can earn on this assignment is a 3.
