SPECIAL NOTE: THIS IS THE FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE THE JAGUAR NARRATIVE ASSIGNMENT! SEE ME IN TUTORING IF NEEDED! THIS IS A BIG PART OF YOUR WRITING GRADE. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS UP.
- WEEKLY WRITING GOAL: Finish all of your Jaguar Narrative with all final revisions. Include all parts as listed on the Jaguar Narrative Checklist. Use your narrative outline to write your story.
- Before writing your Jaguar Narrative, the following must be completed first in this order:
- Jaguar Reading (Seesaw)
- Dialogue Fun-Fill In (in Google class)
4. Your Jaguar Narrative Checklist and Jaguar Narrative must be complete this week in class.
EARLY FINISHERS - WHOSE LINE IS IT? or IMAGINE IT!
SPECIAL NOTE: If you did Whose Line Is It already, you can work on your Independent Reading today. If your Independent Reading is complete, you can do the Imagine It! writing. Otherwise, you can read an independent book of your choosing. Email me a 4 sentence summary of what you read, and 2-3 sentences to describe your favorite scene from your pages today and explain why.
1. For those complete with their Jaguar Narrative: I will assign you to a breakout room. I will give you a link to the Whose Line Is It? Google document in the zoom chat. You will all go to this form and construct a narrative together. (Some may receive the Imagine It! document. Follow those instructions as given.)
2. But you have to follow the rules of the narrative game as given on the Whose Line is It? Writing document. Decide the order of who will write from first to last. Each time it is your turn, you will add one sentence to the story right after the person before you. No one may tell you what to write. But, others can offer synonym word choices or help with your grammar or sentence structure as needed. But they may only do this after you write your sentence. But the person cannot change anything else from what they wrote. 3. As others finish, I will send them to the breakout room. Their turn will be after the last person. So keep adding on people to the end to write. |
4. Please follow all grammar rules and sentence structure. Your narrative still needs to have all the elements of a story as a plot, dialogue, and characters.
5. Be as serious or silly as you want on your turn. But do not be inappropriate or violent in your stories. 6. I will be monitoring in the Google doc and on the second computer to ensure you remain present, safe, and on task. 7. Be respectful to one another. Do not criticize others for what they write. The group leader can come get me if some are writing offensive comments, are off task, or for any other behaviors that may need to be addressed. 8.Try to complete 30-50 sentences per story. You can do more than one. You can also try doing a poem after your narrative if time. |
